I be going on a job that is using a 2065.
Is there any glaring differences between the 1236 and the 2065, cautions, operational, set up?
Can anyone who has been trained on the 1236 - 1648 go straight to the 2065?
I only used the 1648 at the McElroy large diam class.
Any thoughts welcomed.

Running the machine will be very similar to what you have already done. It is bigger, you have less visibility of the indexing carriage so take things slowly and carefully.
The key difference that I notice is that proper setup is all the more crucial. This machine has two jaws. That means alignment can be trickier and you'll be more prone to slippage. Make sure your pipe stands are perfectly in line with the fusion machine. You may have to lower your interfacial pressure if the pipe is undersize to mitigate issues with slipping.
Face slowly. I usually engage the carriage to face with the lowest pressure possible and then put the carriage back into neutral to let it catch up, then repeat. This seems to be the best way I have found to ensure that my face off is as clean and straight as possible.
Heat! always make sure to heat the pipe for a sufficient amount of time. Better way too long than not long enough.
