What is the difference between Gauge Pressure and Fusion Pressure ? Do you use the Fusion Pressure Calculator to determine Fusion Pressure or Gauge Pressure ?

Guage pressure is the pressure read off the hydraulic guage on the fusion machine itself. It is the actual internal hydraulic system pressure in the hydraulic cylinders.
Fusion pressure is the pressure (PSI) required at the actual fusion joint. The pipe manufacturers will specify what pressure is required at the pipe interface to make a proper fusion joint.

The fusion pressure calculator is used to calculate the correct guage pressure based on: the pipe you're fusing, the machine your using, the fusion pressure your told to use, plus any drag on the pipe.
