Is there anyone using a datalogger for testing operators? I am planning to use the datalogger to test operator qualification while the are doing a saddle fusion using a sidewinder. What are the advantages?

There are some using the Datalogger to do the annual testing of their employees. This method of testing allows you to have a permanent record of the test other than a visual appearance and a cut out strip. It shows the entire process used in the sidewall procedure. By using the Datalogger you have recorded the Temp of the heater adapters, length of time it took to establish melt, the soak cycle time as well as the amount of force applied to achieve fusion and how long it was held under pressure for cool down. This re-enforces, to the operator, that each step in the process is important. This also gives a permanent record that all parameters of the sidewall fusion procedures were followed.
