There are several variables to consider when designing supports for PE. Temperature and type of product contained in the pipeline, all play a factor in how far apart spacing should be. Supports should cradle 120 deg. of the bottom of the pipe and they should be at least 5 1/2" wide, with all edges rounded. For 10" DR9 filled with water at 73 deg ambient, spacing should be 10.9 ft. If you are transporting product other than water, and have higher operating temperatures, I suggest you go to www.driscoplex.com then the applications section. In the serch area type in FIELD HANDBOOK their handbook will come up. Pages 42-46 will give you the formulas and steps to figure support spacing for any application you might have. Hope this helps you.
