Hello All,

I am curious if there are any precautions I should take if I am going to perform metal welding to the frame of one of my T900 machines? I know when welding on a car you would want to disconnect the battery...should I do the same for the T900?

I have done some repair work on the older 1236 machines and never worried about it but the new T900 seem to have a lot more finley tuned electrical componenets that make me nervous.

I asked around and here are some tips:

Disconnect battery.
Make sure you have a good ground on the welding lead.
Do not weld near gas and oil tanks or too close to any electronics.

Hope that helps!
