The battery on my 618 tracstar machine is not charging. When machine is off battery voltage is 12.1 volts. When running it is 11.7 volts and dropping. While running I measured the voltage at the dynamo with the plug disconnected. It was 37.8 volts AC. Does anyone know of a wiring diagram for this machine? Is the proper voltage from the dynamo supposed to be 24 to 28 volts AC? Will I need to replace the dynamo and or rectifier?

Here is a similar question that may help:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1463&hilit=charging

I think the voltage output of the dyno is 19-23 VAC. The voltage output of the regulator I think should be 14 VDC or so being supplied to the battery.

Here is our current T618 wiring diagram:

If you have an older machine it will be similar but it's always a good idea to punch in your serial number just to be sure.

Thanks.
