Hi I have an old mcelroy no. 28 that usues an electric facer, and want to add a quick disconnect port for our mcelroy data logger, I don't have the ports I see on the new models and was wondering if just adding a tee off the gauge was the proper location?

What is the Serial # of your machine?

Hello Cuda,

A tee of of the gauge isn't the correct location. The DataLogger should "see" the pressure inside the cylinders. The gauge reflects pressure that is available to apply if the valve is shifted rather than what is actually in the cylinders. This is why the DataLogger pressure and the gauge pressure do not agree when the shift sequence is done incorrectly.

There are kits available to upgrade older machines to be DataLogger compatible. I have attached the page from the catalog with the kit numbers.
