Post subject:  Belt Tension on T28's and Old Style Yanmar T412's/T618's

This is yet another question that we receive quite often.

The correct torque for the tensioner bolt on the belt driven TracStars is 10 lbs. Do not exceed 15 LBS.

When overtorqued, the bearing block and pump shaft will be damaged. There is a spring tensioner kit that is available. It is used on current production models. You may retrofit your old equipment with this tensioner. The part number is AT1214301.
