Engineering tells me that some of the components on this unit (T900 and T630) are frequency sensitive. This is why the procedure for setting the voltage is different than our smaller TracStars.
Here is the procedure that they outline:
1. Disconnect the heater power cable.

2. Remove the generator top and side cover to access the terminals and voltage adjustment pot.

3. Set engine throttle to high speed.

4. Connect a frequency meter across any phase on the generator output.

5. Adjust throttle linkage so that frequency meter reads 60 +/- 1 Hz.

6. Tighten the jam nuts behind the throttle rod eye.

7. Connect a voltmeter across any phase.

8. Adjust the voltage pot to obtain 240 +/- 3 volts AC.

9. Replace the generator covers.

10. Re-connect the heater power cable.
